I was extremely lucky a few weeks ago to win the first stamp set 'Blooming Buds' designed by the amazing card designer Deepti of Dee's Art Utopia. She has designed this set with Stamplorations and its the first of many. If they are as gorgeous as this one, I can't wait for them to be released!!
As soon as they arrived I wanted to try out some water colouring, so I knew my card would be perfect for the Pretty Pink Posh - Watercolour Blog Hop. The stamps were so lovely to use and even though this is the very first card I've created with them, I've fallen in love with the set already.
I heat embossed the flowers and leaves in white on a piece of water colour paper. I used Distress Ink 'Spun Sugar' to colour the flowers, trying to add more concentrated colour to the middle. I don't have a green Distress Ink, so I used my Hero Arts 'Green Hills' Shadow Ink mixed with water, and it was perfect for the stems and leaves. I stamped the sentiment in black ink and added some dark pink sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and light pink from Neat and Tangled. Its soft and pretty, just like I imagined.

You can so tell when its just after 4pm here as all of a sudden it turns really cold. Was nice to see some sun today after a week of rain, cloud and frosts. Better make sure the fire still has some life to it!!!
