Its Wednesday so that means its time for a new challenge theme at Addicted to Stamps and More. For this weeks theme you can get a jump start on your Xmas cards because its:
Of course this could also mean you might make some cards for July 4th, Thanksgiving or maybe to celebrate a vacation. As long as your project is something to do with 'holidays' you can do whatever you like!!
Our Sponsor for this challenge is Stamplorations and they are giving the winner of this challenge 2 digital images. Yay!!!!
The other day Phoebe and I were talking about the Christmas nearly four years ago when we were counting down to Bella's (our golden retriever) arrival. She arrived by plane on the 30th December (from Napier in the North Island) and was the fluffiest puppy ever!! This got me thinking about our 'fur babies' and how we include them in everything, so why not with our christmas cards:
I thought this would be a fantastic card to give to another dog loving family and I even have one in mind!!
I cut a panel of red CS slightly smaller than my card front and die-cut the snowflake from it. I adhered it to the card front, die-cut another snowflake from white CS and inlaid it in the card. The puppy was stamped on white CS and coloured with pencils. I fussy cut, touched up the edges with a black pen and popped him up on foam tape. The sentiment was stamped in black on a banner in white CS, adhered to the card along with some red and clear sequins for a christmasy sparkle.
The puppy and sentiment stamps are from Mama Elephant 'Playful Pups'. The snowflake die is from CAS-ual Fridays 'Flurry Fri-dies'. The sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh.
You have one week to link your projects to the Addicted to Stamps and More challenge and if you need any ideas for your creations, pop over to the blog to see what the rest of the Design Team have created. Can't wait to see you in the Gallery!!
