CAS-ual Fridays Stamps October New Release - Day 6

Well, its the last day of showing off the new stamps and dies from the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps New Release. Its been so much fun sharing all my projects with you and I'm very happy to have more Christmas cards for my stash!!

Today we have one more die to share with you that matches up with another Christmas stamp set that came out last year. Introducing the 'Pear Tree Fri-dies':

This fits with the stamped image so beautifully and cuts out a lot of the gaps around the branches which I love. Here's what I created with it:

I started off by stamping the tree image from the 'Partridge in a Pear Tree' stamp set in Versafine black ink and immediately heat embossing with clear powder. I did this on a piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth CS so I could water colour the image using my Zig Real Color Brush Pens and a water brush. Once this was dry I die-cut it with the matching die and adhered to the front of a white card base with Gina K Connect Glue.

I cut a panel of light grey CS the same size as the card base and die-cut the tree from the middle of it. I popped this up over the image with lots of foam tape. The sentiment (from the same stamp set) was heat embossed in gold on a strip of white CS and put on foam tape, along with some sequins from Neat and Tangled.

I really hope you've enjoyed seeing all the projects this week from myself and the other Girl Fridays on the CFS Blog. And if you leave a comment there telling them your favourite stamp set from the release, you have a chance to win a $25 gift voucher!!

If you still haven't done any shopping for the new products and are about to have a spending spree, don't forget to use my special code to save yourself 15%. You might have saved enough to buy something extra, which is always a good thing!!

Thanks so much for stopping by this week and I'm sure I'll be back with more cards very soon!

Take care
Shona
