Hi there everyone!! So excited as this is my first Guest Designer post for Your Next Stamp this month, and its for their July New Release!!!
I have two cards to share with you showing off some of the new products that will be available today (7th July) at 10pm EST. And you will not be disappointed, they are adorable!!!
First up I have this sweet little bee from the new 'Honey Bee' stamp set and also some hexagon dies, which fit the 'bee' theme perfectly!!
This was fiddly but simple to make. I started by cutting a panel of white CS slightly slimmer than the card front. I die-cut the hexagons twice from the panel and also twice more from some yellow CS. I popped a piece of white CS behind the die-cut holes and this gave me somewhere to inlay the hexagon shapes and frame into place.
The bee was stamped with Versafine Ink on white CS and heat embossed with clear powder, coloured with my Altenew Artist Markers and die-cut with the matching dies. He was popped on foam tape along with a sentiment (which was also clear heat embossed) from the new Honey Bee set. The panel was then put on a big piece of foam onto the card front and I added some new YNS Gumdrops which are part of this release.
My second card is full of images from the new 'Happy Hour' stamp set. Talk about a tropical dream!! I'm in the middle of Winter here in New Zealand and so wish I could be on a warm island somewhere....
This took a lot of stamping but was fun fitting all the images in on a one-layer card. I then coloured away with my pencils (while watching old episodes of SVU) and added some of the new YNS Gumdrops as well.
I hope this has been enough to wet your appetite and hop along from the YNS Blog with us later on today at 10pm EST, where you also have the chance to win a $25 gift card...eeek, there is so much to shop for!!
I'll see you all back here later on today with a full reveal of all the new products available. I can't wait!!
Take care
Shona

Oh my...that first card is just so sweet (no pun intended). Love the inlay cells and that adorable bee has my heart. Your second card's background is worth all the time you took with it. It's charm is that it invites one to throw one back with impunity. I could use that right about now. Congrats on your GD gig...you deserve it.

More great cards!!!
