The Flower Challenge #30

Hi there!! Our weather has been back to hot, hot, hot with no rain in sight. So strange to say that we've only had one day of rain so far this year, doesn't seem possible. Hopefully when Winter hits it will bring its usual rainy, cold days!!

We've got everyone's favourite challenge theme this month at The Flower Challenge  'Anything Goes'. This means you can create anything you like as long as it has a main floral element. This will give you a chance to try out any new flower stamps or dies you've purchased recently....

For my card I decided to step completely away from stamping or colouring and went all out on die-cutting:

Last month I purchased the Concord and 9th 'Turnabout Toolkit'. It not only comes with floral stamps but also lots of dies, so I used them all on my card today.

I started off by die-cutting the large sentiment die from some wood veneer paper which I had completely forgotten about. I die-cut it 3x and then popped them side-by-side on the card front using foam tape.

I then grabbed some pink, blue and green CS and die-cut the flowers and leaves from them, gluing the darker pink piece into the centre of the flower. I cut a rectangle of white CS and heat embossed the sentiment (from the toolkit stamp set) in gold. I popped it on foam tape and was then able to use Gina K Connect glue and double sided tape to put the leaves and flowers under and around it. The pink flower was put on extra foam tape so it would sit over the sentiment. To finish off I glued on some sequins from Neat and Tangled.

I'm going to link this to the Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge where their theme is 'Anything Goes'.

You have until Monday 25th March to link your projects to The Flower Challenge and pop over to the blog for lots of ideas and inspiration from the Design Team. We will back on March 15th with some more floral projects to share with you. Looking forward to seeing all your amazing floral projects in the Gallery!!

Take care
Shona
