Virginia's View Challenge # 14

Each month I always look forward to the Virginia's View Challenge. Virginia's theme's are always on trend and something we can all have a go at creating. It also attracts so many different designers to take part and I love going thru the gallery and seeing all the amazing ideas and how people are inspired by the theme.

I could never get by without my foam tape. It would be one of the Top 5 Craft products I always need to have in my drawer. I was playing around with some new stamps and decided to add lots of dimension to a colourful 'Happy Birthday' card:

I cut a panel from white CS and after working out where it would sit over the card front, I stamped the paintbrush stamps in rainbow colours. I tried something new with the 'happy' stamp. I stamped it in black ink and then heat embossed straight away with clear embossing powder. It really does add a lot of shine!! I fussy cut the 'happy' and popped it up on foam tape above the rest of the sentiment. The panel was then added with some foam tape and a few die cut hearts.

The 'happy' and sentiment stamps are from Winnie and Walter 'The Big, the Bold and the Happy. The paintbrush stamp is from Paper Smooches 'Positive Strokes' and the heart dies from Paper Smooches 'Tiny Hearts'.

I will add this to the Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge where their theme is 'Happy Birthday'.

And will also add to the Simply Create Too Challenge # 82 where their theme is 'Anything Goes'.

Off to the movies shortly to see The Spongebob Movie. Should be rather funny and I love the popcorn. Its very, very hot today and humid as its raining too. Feel extremely sticky so will be nice to sit in the theatre air-conditioning for a while.....

Take care
Shona
