In the Winnie and Walter - The Gossip Column with Taheerah Atchia No.1, Taheerah talks about the Pantone Spring colours and different colour combinations. As I mentioned in my first entry, I only have W&W word stamp sets (and a bling set), so was trying to make cards without using too many other brands. I wanted to try out orange again (maybe the more I use it, the less scary it will be) and combined it with dark blue, another colour I don't use often:
I was very excited this week as a friend was able to get her hands on some Hero Arts Shadow Inks (mid-tone) for me from the U.S. I made sure I got orange, and boy is it a gorgeous colour!!
I covered my card front with dark blue CS. I then cut a panel of white CS and stamped the 'hello' and then the rest of the sentiment on a smaller strip. This was cut out and popped up on foam tape. I also used foam tape to adhere the panel to the card front. Of course I had to add some enamel dots and voila, a card I would never have attempted in these colours. I really like it so thank you Taheerah!!
The stamps are all from Winnie and Walter 'The Big, the Bold and the Happy' and the enamel dots are from Papervine.
I have one more card to link to this challenge and then I'll stop. It's fabulous being encouraged to move out of my comfort zone, so can't wait to see what amazing trend Taheerah will have for us in her next column!
