Time Out Challenge # 29

Hi everybody!! Just popping in to remind you about our current challenge at TIME OUT.  We are looking for projects inspired by the sentence:

YOU CAN'T MAKE A RAINBOW WITHOUT A LITTLE RAIN

You can be inspired by anything with regards to these words. Maybe the sentence itself or maybe one word?? Its totally up to you!

I decided to go with the more usual rainbow colours this time (last week I used all sorts of pastel colours) and kept it very simple:

I was very lucky recently to win the new release stamp sets from Reverse Confetti and wanted to use them straight away! I stamped the brushstroke (from 'Colour Me Happy') in rainbow colours and set aside to dry. I die-cut a piece of vellum with a waffle-edged square (to represent a cloud) and stamped the sentiment (from 'Shine from Within') and heat embossed in white. I added double-sided tape to the back, behind the words, and adhered over the rainbow. I also scattered a few gold star sequins (from Papervine) to tie in with the sentiment.

I'm going to link this to the Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge  where their theme is 'Clean and Simple.

You have till next Wednesday 29th April to link your entries to the TIME OUT  challenge. Please check out the blog for more inspiring projects from the rest of the Design Team and our Guest Designer Michele from Crimson Owl Creations. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!!

Take care
Shona

  1. I like the idea of the vellum for the cloud and what a cool idea to add the tape behind the sentiment x
