Colour Q Challenge # 287

I haven't joined in with the fun at the Colour Q Challenge before but after seeing the colours required for this weeks challenge, I thought it was about time I did!

I love using the colour grey, especially with brighter colours like pink, it seems to be a bit softer than using straight black. So I combined this combo for my card:

I cut a piece of grey CS the same size as my card front and die-cut the heart shape. I marked on a white card front where the heart would sit and used a stencil with some Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. The grey panel was then popped up on lots of foam tape. I stamped the sentiment in black on white CS and also put on foam tape along with a scattering of my favourite pink sequins. I really liked this sentiment because it was like the bright pink coming thru the grey, making the card a little bit brighter!!

The heart die is from CAS-ual Fridays. The stencil is from Teresa Collins 'Basically Essentials' and the sentiment stamp from Lil' Inker 'Rainbows and Clouds Sentiments'. And the pink sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh.

I'm going to link this to The Card Concept Challenge # 33, under the catergory of 'Clean and Simple':

Will also link to the Happy Little Stampers - CAS April Challenge where their theme is:

Will pick up the kids from school in an hour. Have had a busy day catching up on housework and other jobs. Nice to have everything clean and tidy again but it sure is quiet around here.....

Take care
