Reminder: Time Out Challenge # 83

Hi everyone, hope your all having a great week and haven't been overloaded with work!! I'm cruising on in here to remind you about our current TIME OUT
challenge. We have the most amazing card for you to CASE:

Isn't this spectacular?!! Its by one of my favourite people Hannelie from Desert Diva. We both have a love for CAS designs and she is just as sweet as can be. To 'CASE' her card means to create your own interpretation. So you could use the same colours, same layout or maybe you have the same floral stamps. Its all up to you!!

Our Sponsor for this challenge is Happy Little Stampers and the winner will get a $15 voucher to spend in their store. So very lucky!!

The colours used on Hannelie's card aren't ones I would use very often but I decided to jump out of my pastel/rainbow coloured comfort-zone and go for gold:

I started off by taping down the stencil over my card front. I then decided that I wanted to have the stencil pattern a particular shape, so I taped this die-cut frame over-top. I then used Distress Inks 'Spiced Marmalade' and 'Barn Door' and my mini-blending tool to create the pattern. Once I removed the stencil I realised the frame look quite cool with the colour around the inside edge, so decided to put it back in place on some foam tape.

The flowers were stamped in black ink on white CS and fussy cut out. I adhered them in place, putting one of the larger flowers up on foam tape. I also added some foam tape behind the sentiment and glued on a few gold, orange and red sequins for a bit of sparkle. I really hope Hannelie likes it!!

The flower images and sentiment are from Stamplorations 'Buttercups and Butterflies'. The stencil is also from Stamplorations 'Nested Circles'. The frame die is from Studio Katia 'Stitched Creative Nested Squares'. The sequins are from Neat and Tangled.

You have until Wednesday 25th May to link your projects to the TIME OUT  challenge and please pop over to the blog to see what the rest of the Design Team and our fabulous Guest Designer Susanne of Keep In Touch Cards have created for you. Look forward to seeing your cards in the Gallery!!

Take care
Shona
