Reminder: Time Out Challenge # 82

Hi there everybody!! Hope your week is going well and bet your looking forward to the weekend as much as I am! I'm popping in quickly to remind you about our current Time Out challenge. Our theme is:

Flowers with optional twist of 'kissing' technique

Kissing is where you stamp two stamps against each other to create a new image. There is a link to a tutorial on the Time Out blog.

Our Sponsor for this challenge is Happy Little Stampers and if you 'kiss' with us for this challenge you have the chance to win a $15 gift voucher!!

I've never tried the 'kissing' technique before. I really wanted too but I also wanted to use a new Stamplorations stamp set ('Buttercups and Butterflies') which wouldn't quite work with that technique:

Aren't these images just gorgeous!! Now you can see why I really wanted to use this stamp set for this flower challenge. And you really need much more solid images to do the 'kissing' technique.

I really wanted to make a one-layer card and this one was super simple to create. The stamp set comes with the single large buttercup and a spray of smaller ones. I wanted them to frame the card but leave the top open so the butterflies (from the same set) could fly out. I simply stamped them all with black ink, moving the spray of flowers around to create different angles. I then stamped the sentiment (from the same set) and the butterflies.

Once the ink was dry I coloured only the flowers with my pencils, so there was just a pop of colour against the black/white and glued on some pink, yellow and clear sequins from Neat and Tangled. I love this so much, especially the sentiment so you will definitely be seeing this stamp set again!!

I have three challenges I would like to enter:

Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge (Hint of Pink)

Simon Says Stamp - Monday Challenge (The Great Outdoors)

Stamplorations CAS Challenge - May

You have until Wednesday 10th May to link your projects to the Time Out challenge. And if you are struggling with ideas, pop over to the blog to see what the rest of the Design Team have created just for you. Looking forward to seeing your projects in the Gallery!!

Take care
Shona

  2. Once again, you're using my favorite color so my eyes were immediatly drawn to this card. Reminds me of retro, fluttery curtains in my Mom's old kitchen. Love this card.
