Hi everybody and welcome to my CAS-ual Fridays Stamps 'Girl Friday' post for the month of April!!
I'm still on a high from our March New Release Blog Hop which happened on Friday 31st March. So many incredible projects from the Design Team, I'm very humbled to be their team mate!
For my card I decided I needed to give some older products some love and created a card for a friend:
I'm always looking for an excuse to make a shaker card, and since I'm so in love with the Sisterhood Sparkle 'Limited Edition' Sequins that Pretty Pink Posh created for the Calling All Sistah's Collection, I knew they would look so pretty in a shaker.
I started off by die-cutting a circle (using a die from Couture Creations) from white CS. From the centre of it I die-cut the Heart Board Fri-Die and glued a piece of clear acetate behind it. I added foam tape around the back of the heart to create the shaker, put a big pile of sequins on the card front and then pressed it down on top to seal.
To add a bit of interest to the shaker, I used the Heart Board Fri-Die again on a pink paint chip and glued two of the hearts to the acetate. To pretty it up even more I stamped two flower images from the Girlfriend stamp set on to some water colour CS and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. I then used my mini-blending tool and Distress Inks 'Picked Raspberry' and 'Worn Lipstick' to colour them and then fussy cut them out. They were glued into place and I kept the sentiment simple (also from the Girlfriend stamp set) by using black ink.
If you've seen anything from the new release your thinking of buying or maybe the products I used today, don't forget to use my special 'Girl Friday' code to save yourself 15%. Every dollar counts these days!!
I'm going to link this to the Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge where their theme is 'Anything Goes'.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I will see you again on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog later in the month. Enjoy your week!!
