Hi everyone, nice to see you here and welcome to my first CAS-ual Fridays Stamps post for the month of April!! I'm still playing around with a lot of the products from our March New Release that came out a few weeks ago. With being a 'die-cutter addict' this release was huge for me and I have so many ideas, I don't know where to start first!!
So today I'm up on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog with this sweet card that would be perfect for anyone who has a pet:
The new 'Huggable Critters Die Set' comes with two different paw dies, the one I used and another one that I thought would be better for a bear paw as its a bit larger. I wanted this to be clean, simple but with lots of colour against all the crisp white!
To start with I grabbed my mini-blending tool and Distress Oxide inks 'Picked Raspberry', 'Tumbled Glass', 'Cracked Pistachio', 'Squeezed Lemonade' and 'Spiced Marmalade'. I just made my way down the card front, creating a band of each colour and blending them on the edges over the whole panel.
I then cut a panel of white CS the same size as the card front and die-cut the paw so it looked like a dog or cat was walking across it. All I had to do then was add lots of foam tape behind it and pop it up over the rainbow background. For the sentiment (from 'Nate and Friday') I heat embossed it in white on some black CS and put on foam tape, along with some sequins from Neat and Tangled.
I'm going to link this to the Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge where their theme is 'No Designer Paper'.
I'm also going to link to the Kat Scrappiness April Challenge where their theme is 'Pastels', which is what I used for my blended rainbow.
I really hope you like my card today and if your wanting to purchase any of the sets I used or any others from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps don't hesitate to use my special code to save yourself 15% off your purchase, even on the new products!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you back here again soon!!
Take care
Shonoa
You know I own the "Critters Die Set" and never noticed that darling paw print. Thanks so much for bringing it to my attention and in such a fabulous way. Love them against that rainbow background and that precious sentiment.
ReplyDeleteShona this is exquisite - and the sentiment so true

Shona, I'm not usually a pet card person but these paw prints over rainbow are enough to make me reconsider! As always, lovely work!
