My lovely 'bloggie' friend Monika of Creative with Monika had a birthday last week and she decided to spend the whole of April celebrating. What a fantastic idea!!
She is running a challenge where she has supplied a few of her favourite cards and we can choose one to CASE. At the end of the month she will randomly pick a winner and that person will get a $25 gift voucher of their choice!! Talk about generous!
Monika makes the most incredible cards and she has the knack of being able to make cards in any style she chooses. She is also an amazing supporter and commenter of everyone's blogs and loves to leave a lot of love wherever she goes. So of course I had to play along!!
This is one of my favourite cards that Monika has created and I was excited that she offered it as one to CASE. I love the design and the stenciling so much, I didn't want to change too much at all:
As you can see, I changed the colours and details but kept the design the same. I really hope Monika like's it!!
I die-cut a circle from some printer paper and taped it over the card front. I applied the stencil over-top and used my mini blending tool to add Spun Sugar and a little Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. After stamping the sentiment in black ink, I glued on the flower and a sprinkle of pink sequins. Love it!
The stencil is from Teresa Collins 'Basically Essential'. The flower dies are from Paper Smooches and the sentiment stamp from Clearly Besotted 'Good Times'. The sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh.
I have five other challenges I would like to enter:
Simon Says Stamp - Monday Challenge (Theme is 'Middle' - my card focal point is in the middle)
Happy Little Stampers - April CAS Challenge (Stencils)
CAS(E) this Sketch # 118
Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge (April Showers/Spring Flowers)
AAA Cards Challenge # 37
I hope Monika had a wonderful birthday. I posted a card to her just before Good Friday and hopefully it will arrive soon. Have never sent any mail to Germany before (from New Zealand) so will be interesting to see how long it will take...... And at least Monika still has the rest of this month to celebrate!!
