Winnie and Walter - Share the Love Week with Pinkfresh Studio - Entry #2

Hi everybody! If you've visited my blog before you will know I'm a huge Winnie and Walter fan and whenever they have a challenge, I jump in with both feet. So for their Share the Love Week with Pinkfresh Studio challenge I couldn't help but make another entry!

For this card I got my inspiration from this card by Heather Hoffman on Day 1:

Heather has such a wonderful knack of layering papers and embellishments and I love all the different elements she used with this card, especially the faceted heart and papers. This is what I came up with:

Unfortunately I don't own the Faceted Heart Die by W&W but I do have one from Neat and Tangled. I die-cut it from silver glitter CS and then backed it with Pinkfresh Studio patterned paper from their 'Happy Things' collection. I also used a square die to die-cut another piece of paper from the same collection and adhered it to the card front. The heart was then popped up over it with foam tape. I heat embossed the 'hugs' on some vellum in silver and fussy cut before gluing over the heart. I did the same with the rest of the sentiment on a strip of white CS. I then scattered some silver stars and clear sequins to carry on the silvery colour scheme.

The silver star sequins are from Papervine and the clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. The stamps are all from Winnie and Walter 'The Big, the Bold and Friends'. The square die with dotted edge detail is from Waffle Flower 'Doily Square Die' set.

I need to take Max to the Dentist in the morning, he has one last filling to get and then Phoebe to the Orthodontist on Wednesday morning. She has been in a bit of pain lately as her teeth are so crowded and twisted around, the ones trying to push thru are coming up in the strangest places and causing her gums to swell. I'm thinking he will need to remove a few teeth with surgery and then have braces fitted (exactly the same as me at her age) so will be interesting to see what he has to say.......

Take care and have a good week!

Shona

  1. Wow. So beautiful...wonderful case. Looks terrific with the patterned papers you chose.
Poor Phoebe, that is painful. Hopefully knowing it's not forever will help her get through it.
