The Flower Challenge # 18

Hi there everybody and welcome to a new month at The Flower Challenge!! We have everyone's favourite theme this month 'Anything Goes'!!!

This means that as long as you have a floral image as the main part of your project, you can create whatever you want!!

We are also very lucky to have a prize for you with this challenge. The incredibly talented Eunji Yung from DotBstamp if giving the winner two digital images from her collection. You can see these on the main blog post.  She was also very generous to give our DT a chance to use one of these images for our cards this month. Unfortunately I don't have a printer and my husband only has a very basic one at his work so we couldn't get it to print on my CS. And printing on printer paper and colouring/fussy cutting didn't do her gorgeous image any justice, so I was unable to use them unfortunately. The rest of the DT did so you definitely need to have a look!!

Instead I decided to use one of my brand new stamp and die sets I received recently and change the image up a bit:

I started off by stamping the main image and some single flowers and leaves from Concord and 9th 'Wonderful Florals' on Strathmore Bristol Smooth and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then coloured the images in using Altenew Markers Set A.  I used the matching dies to cut everything out and then I got a bit creative.

The middle of this big image has the word 'wonderful' in it. I didn't want that so I very carefully fussy cut this out. I then adhered some of the single flowers and leaves over areas that looked a bit obvious with hard edges etc. I then put it on the card front using lots of foam tape.

For the sentiment (from Concord and 9th 'Love you, Mean it') I stamped it twice with gray ink, fussy cut around it and put it on a double layer of foam tape. And to finish off I added some co-ordinating sequins from Neat and Tangled.

I'm going to link this to the Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge where their theme is 'Anything Goes'.

You have until Sunday 25th March to link your projects to The Flower Challenge and we will be back on the 15th with some more projects to inspire you.

I also want to say goodbye to our DT member Ruth who has decided to step down from the team. She will be sorely missed and will always have a place with us here!!  We are looking for a replacement so if your interested in joining our little family, pop DTR beside your project name. Good luck!

Take care
Shona
