Hi there everybody and welcome to the September Little Tangles challenge!! We have a great challenge theme for you this month that includes not only the card but also the envelope:
This gives you a chance to create a matching set and maybe even a gift set for someone special to use. I can't wait to see what you come up with!!
I'll be completely honest, I never think about the inside of my cards. I like a blank card so I can write anything so this was definitely a challenge for me. However, I always think its good to step out of my comfort-zone and think differently for a change. This is what I came up with:
I decided that instead of trying to think about what to do with the front of the card AND the inside, that I would combine the two!!
I started off by die-cutting the Floral Heart Die from the card front, lining up the Floral Heart Stamp on the inside of it and stamping with black ink. I also stamped it across the back of an envelope. Once the ink had dried I coloured both of the images with my pencils, using the same colours for both.
I love a white card front but something was missing from this design. I didn't want to stamp anything on the front of the card but it looked boring. So....I decided to try something I've never done...scoring!! I chose random areas on the card front and scored across it. Its amazing how much more interesting it looks and it was so easy!!
To finish it off I added some pink and clear sequins and put some Glossy Accents on the dark pink coloured berries on the card. And of course I stamped the sentiment in black ink from Say Yes to Donuts.
I really like how this turned out and actually have an idea about how I could make a pile of these for Christmas!!!
I have four challenges I would like to enter:
Seize the Birthday Challenge
Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge (Stamp It)
Simon Says Stamp - Monday Challenge (Stamp It)
Simon Says Stamp - Work It Wednesday Challenge - August/September (Stamp It)
You have until Thursday 28th September to link your projects to the Little Tangles challenge and if your needing any ideas, please pop over to the blog to see what the rest of the Design Team have created to inspire you. I can't wait to see your projects in the Gallery, hopefully it will give me more ideas as to what to put inside of my own cards!!
