Time Out Challenge # 41

Good grief, where did October come from???? I don't know about you but I hardly saw anything of September and to think its two and a half months till Xmas is frightening!!!

However, it's time for a new challenge at TIME OUT.  We have some lovely words to inspire you this time:

Autumn...the year's last, loveliest smile' (William Cullum Bryant)

I've seen so many beautiful Autumnal cards around blogland of late, so I know the Gallery is going to look amazing for this challenge!!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the fabulous Glenda of My Paper Cat. She does the most incredible cards with stitching and no image is impossible for her and her needle. I can't even sew on a button, so I'm very inspired by her skills!!

I'm not really one for doing Autumn type cards. Maybe its because I never really had any brown-ish inks but that all changed a few months ago, when I picked up two little ColorBox pigment inks in Brown and Cocoa. Finally I could do some Autumn leaves:

I used a leaf stamp from Hero Arts 'Let Love Grow' and stamped in pairs using both of the pigment inks on a panel of white CS. I then decided to cut it on a diagonal and added a strip of gold CS underneath it. I stamped the sentiment (from Simon Says Stamp 'Flower Friend') in black on the card front and popped the panel up on foam tape. A few peach and gold sequins from Neat and Tangled and I was done!!

I have three challenges I would like to enter:

Inkspirational Challenge # 92

Uniko Studio Challenge # 25   (Autumn/Fall with optional twist of Thanks)

Simply Create Too Challenge # 95 (Autumn Splendor)

You have two weeks to link your creations to the TIME OUT challenge. I hope you get a chance to play. And for any ideas, please pop over to the blog to see what the rest of the Design Team have created for you. Hope to see you in the Gallery!!

Take care
Shona
