Reminder: TIME OUT Challenge # 108

Yay, its getting closer to the weekend!! Its been an extremely busy week for me in the garden but also very satisfying with the work I've been doing. And the plants are so confused with the weather, I've been seeing so many daffodils which normally don't come out till July/August. And hedges don't want to stop growing either, so lots of trimming to be done.  No wonder I'm too tired some days to craft!!

I wanted to remind you all about our current challenge at TIME OUT. We are wanting you to create a project inspired by the word 'Wild'. It could have wild animals, wild colours or wild patterns etc...its totally up to you!!

And we are very lucky to be Sponsored for this challenge by Winnie and Walter and they are giving the winner of this challenge a $25 gift voucher!! Woo hoo!

The TIME OUT Design Team were very lucky to be given products to use for this challenge from Winnie and Walter. I chose the 'Dog-gone Cute with Evelin T Designs stamp set, which couldn't be more perfect for our theme:

This doggie is so cute!! I wanted to make it look like he was jumping over his kennel with excitement, so hopefully that's what you see....

I stamped the dog, kennel, bowl and ball images in black on some white CS. I coloured them with my pencils and then fussy cut out. Even though the kennel has grass in front of it, I wanted to ground it more to the card front. So I grabbed Distress Inks 'Mowed Lawn' and 'Salty Ocean' and blended them on to the card.

I popped the dog and kennel on foam tape, and glued the bowl and ball in place. I stamped the sentiment (from the same stamp set) in black and glued on a few sequins from Neat and Tangled. I wanted to add some sort of detail to show the dog was jumping and knew you could do lines behind the animal to show movement but I wasn't sure how to do it. So I very gently added three lines behind the dog with grey pencil. I probably should have used a black pen but didn't know if it would work. I think it did......??

I'm going to link this to the Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge where their theme is 'Animal Magic'.

You have until Wednesday 9th May to link your projects to the TIME OUT
challenge. And if your needing any ideas on what to create, pop over to the blog to see what the rest of the Design Team and our spectacular Guest Designer  Darnell of DJKardkreations have created for you. Looking forward to seeing you in the Gallery!!

Take care
Shona
