Time Out Challenge # 28

Well, we were just blown away by the entries for challenge #27 - Clean and Simple. There were so many projects and such brilliant designs. Extremely hard to choose a winner!!

For our TIME OUT challenge this week, our theme is:

                                           CASE with your own twist

We have this stunning card by Kim Makortoff from Art Keeps Me Sane for you to CASE. CASE stands for 'Copy and Share Everyone' (well, I hope that's what it stands for...). It basically means you take inspiration from this card, whether it be the colour, the design or however this card inspires you, and you create your own card.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the fabulous Claire from Life on the Scrap Heap. Her designs are so sweet and she seems to be able to make cards in any style!

I don't usually make cards using mainly black card-stock, so thought this would a perfect time to experiment:

And yes, it was another chance to play with my new flower dies again!! I cut a panel from black CS slightly smaller than the card front. After die-cutting the flowers and leaves in various colours (from paint chips of course!), I arranged and adhered them on the panel. The blue flower was popped up on foam tape for a bit of interest. I heat embossed the sentiment in white and glued two other flowers on as embellishments. The panel was then adhered to the card front.

I really like how the white sentiment and the flowers pop against the black background. This might be one to try again!!

The sentiment is from Paper Smooches 'Kudos' and the flower dies are also Paper Smooches 'Flowers'.

I have five other challenges I'd like to link this too:

Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge - Week 5 (Anything Goes)

Uniko Studio Challenge # 19 (Anything Goes)

Simon Says Stamp - Monday Challenge (Pastel colours)

Simply Create Too Challenge # 82 (Anything Goes)

AAA Card Challenge # 36 (Easter Colours)

You have two weeks to enter the TIME OUT challenge, hopefully plenty of time to be inspired by Kim's card. If your needing any help, the rest of the Design Team have created some gorgeous projects to get your imagination flowing. I hope you can join in and can't wait to see what you create!!

Take care
Shona
