Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge # 192

Morning everybody and welcome to a new week at Addicted to Stamps and More. We have the very popular 'Make your Mark' theme for you this week, so get out your brushes, your Copics, your pencils etc and starting colouring your creations!!

Our Sponsor for this challenge is Sami Stamps  and they are giving the winner of this challenge a $12 gift voucher to their store. So lucky!!

I haven't been doing much in the way of water colouring lately, so decided to remedy that and get my Distress Inks out for a play:

Have I told you how much I love Instagram?? Its one of the best decisions I made last year and after taking a while to work out how to use it, its made keeping up with everyone so much easier!! I recently saw a photo of this card by Joni Nina Andaya, who I admire greatly for her design and colouring skills. So thank you Joni for the inspiration!!

I started off by colouring some water colour CS with a mix of 'Picked Raspberry/Mustard Seed' and 'Mermaid Lagoon/Wilted Violet' Distress Inks. Once they had dried I used some Rose dies (from Paper Smooches' to die cut the colours. I also die-cut the same roses from some gold CS. To keep the pieces in place, I added strips of washi tape across the front of the gold flowers, flipped them over, added the water colour pieces and then washi to the back. That way I could remove the washi from the front and the pieces are in place and won't fall out.

I wanted to also inlay the smaller roses, so die-cut them from the card front, added a panel of white CS to the back and inlaid them in place with glue. The larger flower was popped up on foam tape. I then added the sentiment (from Happy Little Stampers 'Butterfly Birthday') and some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh for shine.

Will also link this to the Uniko Studio Challenge # 31 where their theme is:

You have until next Wednesday to link your projects to the Addicted to Stamps and More  challenge. And over on the blog you will see lots of gorgeous cards by the rest of the Design Team to help you with your inspiration. Look forward to seeing you in the Gallery!!

Take care
Shona
