Muse Card Challenge # 138

Well, I came home today after spending the last three nights with my Mum. Was supposed to come home yesterday after dinner but as today was a public holiday, the kids said I could stay with Nana for another night. We had a wonderful time and I made loads of cards. We even tried out a cinnamon bun recipe my friend Kim sent me. They were loaded with butter and sugar and pouring the icing over them while still hot from the oven was heavenly. Everyone loved them and they disappeared that day. My pants are all a little tighter but it was totally worth it!!!!!

While at Mum's I wanted to make a card for the Muse challenge. I really loved Anita's design and thought I could turn it into a Xmas card. Here is what I came up with:

I just can't get enough of these little monkeys!!! I cut a panel of white CS and used a circle die to cut out the gap. I adhered some Xmas patterned paper to the card base and after stamping the sentiment in red, I popped the panel up on foam tape. I coloured the monkey and his hat with pencils and put him on some foam tape. And I can't have a Xmas card without some sequins!!

The monkey, santa hat, beard and sentiment stamps are from Waffle Flower 'Stocking'. The circle die is also from Waffle Flower 'Flower Circles Die Set'. The patterned paper is from Lawn Fawn 'Peace Love Joy' and the sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Off to check my emails and post a few more cards. The Walking Dead is on tonight so must watch that before I go to bed too, if I can keep my eyes open..... And just found out that our cable tv provider SKY is having a 'pop-up' channel for the next few days until the 31st Oct with all horror movies on it. So cool, just need to find time to watch them all!!!

Take care
Shona

  9. An extra day with your mom sounds fantastic, especially as card-making and cinnamon-bun baking were involved. I need a good recipe, so I may pester you for the one Kim sent one of these days. YUM! Your little monkey, dressed in his Santa get-up, is darling! Clever you for decking him out; the beard is hilarious!
    Hugs~c
