Guest Designer - CAS-ual Fridays Stamps: Day 1

Hi everybody, this is one very exciting day for me. I'm the Guest Designer for CAS-ual Fridays Stamps for the next three days. Such a fabulous opportunity and a chance to show off some of their amazing stamps and dies. Thank you so much Michele for the invitation!!

For my first day I concentrated on the stamp set 'Mon Ami' and the matching 'Mon Ami Fleur Fri Dies'. This is such a beautiful set I'm afraid I got rather carried away with all my ideas and designs, and have four cards to show you today, so please bear with me!

I stamped and heat embossed the flower in gold and then heat embossed the sentiment on a vellum banner in white. I adhered this across the flowers hiding the tiny strips of double-sided tape behind the writing. Love this flower so much!!

This time I created a one-layer card by stamping the two different flowers with two of the sentiment stems and also adding one leaf. I added enamel dots with slightly darker pink on the bigger flower. Simple and pretty.

You know I had to fit in a shaker card somewhere!! I cut a panel of white CS to fit the card front and die cut the larger flower from it. I adhered a piece of acetate behind it. And then the fun part of putting pieces of foam tape on the back to create a frame around the shape to hold the sequins. I then added foam to the rest of the panel to hold it up.

With it laying face down I added sequins (from Pretty Pink Posh) over the acetate, and then pushed the card front down on to it.  The sentiment was stamped onto a white CS banner and also popped up on foam tape, along with some peach and gold sequins from Neat and Tangled. This die is a brilliant shape for shakers!

Lastly I got all monochromatic with grey, silver and white. I stamped the smaller flower in pairs across the card in grey and added small rhinestones for bling (from Kaisercraft). I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in silver and fussy cut before popping up on foam tape. Love how this turned out!

I'm going to enter my fourth card to the Virginia's View Challenge # 16 where their theme is '100% Stamped'

I really hope you enjoyed my cards and that you'll join me again tomorrow, where I will be looking at another stamp set and dies.

Take care
Shona
