Just popping in to remind everyone about the current TIME OUT Challenge. The theme is:
HOME SWEET HOME
And this is the inspiration photo:
We've had loads of amazing entries so far but the Gallery always has room for more, so I hope you join us!! And don't forget we have our Guest Designer Joyce from Cards by the Sea joining us for this challenge. I'm sure she will create something spectacular!
For this card I decided to go with the flower colour on the wall that stood out for me the most (the big dark red/pink ones) and use my card as a wall, putting the flower all over:
You knew I just had to use my favourite flower dies!!! Its a wonder they still work....
I grabbed my trusty box of paint chips and die cut flowers from plum-red and dark pink/purple samples, with a pale peachy/pink for the insides. I put these all together with washi tape on the back and then glued them to the card front. I then die-cut a circle from vellum and heat embossed the sentiment in white. This was glued over the flowers with a couple of enamel dots hiding the glue spots and I cut off the overhanging side.
The flower dies are from Paper Smooches and the circle die from Couture Creations. The sentiment is also Paper Smooches 'Uplifters' and enamel dots from Papervine.
I have four challenges I would like to enter:
Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge (Let's get Sentimental)
Paper Smooches - Sparks May Challenge Wk 1
Happy Little Stampers - May CAS Challenge
Virginia's View Challenge # 14
You have one more week to get your entries linked to the TIME OUT challenge. I hope that gives you plenty of time to come up with something amazing. And as usual the rest of the Design Team have created some incredible inspiration projects for you on the blog. Hope to see you there!
Take care
Shona
