Addicted to Stamps Challenge # 144

It's Wednesday again, so that mean's it's time for yet another challenge at Addicted to Stamps. For the challenge this week, our theme is:

                                                 CLEAN AND SIMPLE

This basically means projects that don't have too many embellishments or layer upon layer of papers etc. It is a very simple design.  The sponsor for this challenge is Sweet Pea Stamps  and they are generously giving 4 digi images to the winner. Yippee!!

For this weeks design, I wanted to try using a different coloured card base, as I always use white. Its funny because I never wear white because I'm too much of a grub but I love it on my cards (although there have been a lot of smudged fails......).

I came across the Runway Inspired Challenge # 83 and thought this would be a great one to try out:

There are so many different colours on this dress with black as the base colour. I chose to highlight the red, yellow and purple/pink flowers:

 
I die cut the Paper Smooches 'Roses' dies from paint chips. For the yellow and purple flower I removed all the cut pieces and adhered them to the card front. I used washi tape on the back of the red rose and the leaves to keep all the cut pieces together. The leaves were adhered to the card front and the rose popped up on foam tape. I heat embossed the sentiment in gold and popped the banner up as well on foam tape. And of course a few gold sequins for bling!!

The sequins are from Neat and Tangled and the sentiment from Lil Inker Designs 'Rainbow's and Clouds Sentiments'.
