Time Out Challenge # 56

Hi everyone and welcome to another challenge at TIME OUT! We have a card for you to CASE this time and its by an incredible designer:

I can't believe it but we get to CASE a card by Kay Miller of My Joyful Moments!! I'm a huge fan and love all of her designs. She has the most beautiful style and her colouring skills are spectacular. This card is gorgeous and I love all the light colours with the die cutting and stamping elements.

For you to 'CASE' Kay's card means that you are inspired by maybe the colours, the layout, the die-cutting....it can be anything on this card that gives you an idea to create your own version.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Marlena from Marlena is Faithfully Crafting.  She has the ability to create simple CAS designs, as well as layered and embossed creations. Her style is modern and clean and its wonderful to have her with us this for this challenge!!

For my card I couldn't help but be inspired by the layout of this card, and grey/white and pink is one of my favourite combo's, so this was a pleasure to do:

As you can see I left the card front free of any 'splatter' effect. I tried to do it on another card and it was such a disaster. There was no artistry to it, it just looked like I had spilled my drink all over it, so I went back to my usual white background.

I die-cut the circle from a grey paint chip and popped it up on foam tape on the card front. On some white CS I stamped the leaves in grey and the flowers in peach/pink and a darker pink. I used the matching dies to cut them out and then layered and glued them into place on the circle. I stamped the sentiment on a white CS banner and tucked it under the flowers, with a little foam tape on the end to keep it elevated. And a few clear and peach coloured sequins added a tiny touch of shine.

Apart from the sequins, I used all Waffle Flower products for this card. The circle die is from the 'Flower Circles' die set. The flowers and leaves are from the 'Leafy' stamp set, with the matching dies. And the sentiment is from the 'Congrats' stamp set. The sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh.

You have two weeks to link your projects to the TIME OUT challenge and of course the rest of the Design Team have shared some cards with you on the blog, to help with any inspiration. I'm so looking forward to seeing the Gallery, its going to look amazing with all of the CASE'd cards. I hope to see you there!!

Take care
Shona
