Waffle Flower Challenge - April 2016

Hi everybody and welcome to the Waffle Flower Challenge for April. We have a gorgeous inspiration photo for you this month:

I just love those Spring colours, those flowers and the sweet umbrella bouquet idea. You can be inspired by anything in this photo, so let your imagination run wild!!

You also don't have to use Waffle Flower products to join the challenge. If you do have some, we would love to see them but if not, its a chance to finally get your hands on some if you win!!

The colours in this photo are so beautiful, especially those tulips and I just knew I could get an umbrella on my card too:

I really enjoy being able to use all those tiny little stamps on a one-layer card, especially if I can colour them with such pretty colours!! I started off by stamping the tulip in the middle of the card front as my focal point and then randomly stamping all the other images around it. I then got started colouring everything with my pencils.

The 'awesome' was die-cut 3x from black CS, glued together and then onto the card front. I also heat embossed in white the rest of the sentiment on a small strip of black CS and adhered it as well. No need for sequins, already lots to look at!!

The stamps are all from Waffle Flower. The butterflies, hearts and tulip are all from the 'Welcome Spring' stamp set. The umbrella is from the 'Willy' stamp set. The sentiment stamps are from the 'Congrats' stamp set. The 'Awesome' die is also from Waffle Flower.

I'm going to link this to the Simon Says Stamp - Monday Challenge where their theme is 'April showers bring May flowers'.

You have until April 25th to link your projects to the Waffle Flower challenge and if you need any help with inspiration, please visit the blog to see what the rest of the Design Team have created for you. Looking forward to seeing you in the Gallery!!

Take care
Shona

  7. This card is an explosion of creativity! I really love how you created your own patterned paper and how you mixed flowers with umbrellas! Such a happy, Springtime card, but the sentiment makes it so perfect for many situations. Love your attention to detail and the clean look of your stamped images. Thank you so much for sharing your skills with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
