Reminder: Time Out Challenge # 49

Hi everybody, just popping in to remind you about our current challenge at TIME OUT.  We already have a Gallery overflowing with stunning floral cards but always have room for more!! We have some song lyrics to inspire you for this challenge:

LOVE IS THE FLOWER YOU'VE GOT TO LET GROW

(lyrics from a John Lennon song 'Mind Games')

I think flowers portray feelings so well, especially love, so this is a perfect theme with Valentines coming soon.

We also have a Sponsor for this challenge Clearly Besotted Stamps and they are giving the winner a gift voucher to their store. They have the most wonderful array of stamps and dies, this would be so fantastic to win!!

After using strawberries for my flowers last week, I decided to use actual flower stamps and some glitter CS because, well, glitter....need I say more??:

These are some of my favourite flower stamps and I usually water colour them. Since I'm doing the 30 Day Colouring Challenge  I've been experimenting with my colouring skills and decided to try my pencils on these.

I stamped the flowers on white CS, coloured with pencils and then used the matching dies to cut them out. I also stamped and coloured some leaves and fussy cut those for a bit of greenery. For a bit of bling I used a curved square die to cut some glitter CS for the vase, which I adhered first to the card front. I then glued the back flowers down and then used double sided tape to add the top two. A simple sentiment in black ink finished off my loving card.

All of the products I used are from CAS-ual Fridays. The flowers and leaves are from the stamp set 'Mon Ami' and the sentiment stamp from 'Loving Thoughts'. The curved square die is from the set 'Funky Square'.

I have three challenges I would like to enter:

Uniko Challenge # 28

 AAA Card Challenge # 57

Simply Create Too Challenge # 102 (Love or Valentine)

You have one more week to link your projects to the TIME OUT challenge and the rest of the Design Team have some new projects on the blog to give you some ideas. Hope to see you in the Gallery!!

Take care
Shona
