Winnie and Walter iNSD 2015 with Pinkfresh Studio - Card Sketch Challenge

It was quite exciting at the weekend seeing all the different blog posts regarding International Scrapbooking Day. I don't scrapbook myself but like many card makers, I use a lot of the same products. The fabulous Winnie and Walter joined forces with Pinkfresh Studio and went all out and organised a whole lot of challenges with fabulous prizes.

Now you know if there is a chance to win any Winnie and Walter products, I'm so there! So the first challenge I tackled was the Winnie and Walter with Pinkfresh Studio - Card Sketch Challenge.

When designing my card I actually decided to combine two of the challenges. The other challenge is the Winnie and Walter with Pinkfresh Studio - Colour Challenge.

I love using aqua and gold but have never used them together or with a bright pink, so this was quite fun to create:

I purchased this chain-link die a while ago but hadn't used it, so thought it would be good with this sketch and colour palette.

I die-cut two aqua and one pink chain and adhered them to the card front. I also cut one in gold so I could use the gold squares. I glued these and some aqua and pink squares into random holes. I then stamped the sentiment in black. After die-cutting the heart in the different colours, I put it together with some washi in the back (to hold it together) and popped it up on foam tape.

The chain-link die is from MFT Die-namics. The heart die is from CAS-ual Fridays. The pink CS is from We R Memory Keepers Journal Cards and the aqua CS from DCWV 'Bright and Pastels'. The sentiment is from Winnie and Walter 'The Big, the Bold and the Happy'.

I'm going to link this to the Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge where their theme is 'Anything Goes'.

Will also join the Happy Little Stampers - May CAS Challenge where their theme is:

And will also link to the Sugar Pea Designs Challenge # 15 where their theme is:

I have one more card to post tonight and will then attempt the other challenges. It's supposed to be raining tomorrow and I have no jobs outside the house (I gardened all day Monday and today I helped with a class trip for Phoebe's class, visiting the Aircraft Museum), so hopefully I can sneak in a few more cards. And I have my fingers crossed that because its Mother's Day this Sunday, I might be allowed to craft during the day. Somehow I have a feeling my day will be like any other.......

Take care
Shona
