Reminder: TIME OUT Challenge #144

Hi everyone, hope your having a fabulous week and its full of sunshine like mine!! We haven't had rain for days, all the mud around our house has dried up and I've even been tempted to get into shorts the days are so warm. So exciting to see things starting to sprout with it being Spring and the weeds are starting to get a bit carried away too!!

I'm popping in today to remind you about our current TIME OUT challenge where we have this fantastic photo to inspire you. You might make a black/white themed project, something with housewares or even a hint of green somewhere like the plant on the table. Its totally up to you!!

Our Sponsor for this challenge is Poppystamps and they are giving a $20 voucher to the winner!! They also have a challenge running at the moment on their blog Poppystamps Challenge #60 where their theme is 'Anything Goes'. So if you do use a Poppystamp image/die on your project, you can join their challenge too!

For my card I definitely wanted a black/white theme and really liked the geometric striped mat on the floor, so found a background die that worked perfectly:

I started by die-cutting the Altenew 'Shutter Cover Die' from black CS and using Gina K Connect Glue to adhered to the card front. I then used a Uniquely Creative 'Stitched Nesting Square Die' to cut a small square from black CS and popped it on foam tape.

The flower (from Poppy Stamps 'Little Kindness') was stamped with Versafine Onyx black ink on white CS and immediately clear heat embossed with SSS Clear Embossing Powder. I fussy cut it out and put it on foam tape too.

The sentiments (both from Poppystamps 'Flower Garden') were stamped with Versafine Onxy ink on white CS and clear heat embossed. I fussy cut out the 'sending' and put both of foam tape. To include some green (like the plant in the photo) I glued on some Studio Katia 'Seafoam' Pearls.

You have until Wednesday 25th September to link your projects to the TIME OUT  challenge and if you need any help with ideas, pop over to the blog to see what the rest of the Design Team and our always amazing Guest Designer Hannelie of Desert Diva have created for you. Look forward to seeing you in the Gallery!!

Take care
Shona
