Winnie and Walter August Colour Combo Challenge with Heather H

Yep, its me again!! Sorry to be overloading you all with my cards at the moment, seem to be on a bit of a roll card-making wise but that usually means that sometime soon my mojo will disappear, so I'm making the most of it!!

Heather H admitted that she accidently chose colours very close to last months Winnie and Walter Colour Combo Challenge  but I'm quite happy as its such a happy and fresh combo!!

Funnily enough my card design is similar to last months entry to this challenge but I tried something new with heat embossing that I'd been wanting to try for  months:

Really happy with how this turned out and have made quite a stash of birthday cards lately. Now I just need to start working on Christmas cards.....

To start with I die-cut some grey CS using the smaller waffle-edged frame die from W&W 'Essentials: Audrey's Cutaways' and adhered to the card front. I then inked up the W&W 'Mini Scenery: Merry Berry' with Mama Elephants 'Mojito' pigment ink. Using my MISTI I stamped it 3x on white CS and immediately heat embossed with clear powder. I decided to try out stamping it again with Versamark ink and clear heat embossing two more times....and it worked!! The shine and dimension is incredible!!! I trimmed down the edges and popped it up on foam tape over the grey panel.

It looked a bit plain so I grabbed a yellow and blue paint chip and die-cut the heart and butterfly dies from W&W 'Essentials: Audrey's Cutaways' and glued them to different parts of the green 'berries'. I folded the butterflies up so they were a bit more dimensional.

For the sentiment I die-cut the W&W 'Wishes' die from the same yellow paint chip and twice more from white CS. I glued them all together and then used double-sided tape to adhere over the berries. I also added 'birthday' from the W&W 'The Big, Bold and Happy' stamp set. And to carry on the 'glossy' theme I added lots of Glossy Accents to the 'wishes' die-cut.

I've got three other challenges I would like to enter:

Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge (Stamp it On)

Simon Says Stamp - Monday Challenge (Stamp it On)

Stamplorations Cutplorations Summer Vacation Challenge (Anything Goes)

Its nearing dinner time and I'm making home-made hamburgers. I was so organised today I've already made the meat patties and cut the onion (love fried onion on mine!!). And now Minnie has turned up for a cuddle so need to do that too. Will see you back here again soon with yet another card I'm afraid....lol....

Take care
Shona
