Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge

Where do you think our 'mojo's' go to when they leave us?? Are they like the socks that go missing in the wash, suddenly to return under someone's bed?? I wish I knew where mine had gone too, so I could try to encourage it back!! I can just imagine a cafe filled with 'mojo's', drinking cups of coffee and complaining about how much they had been used of late and that they so needed a holiday.... If your reading this mojo, please come back soon, I have chocolate!!!

This card was taking so long to come together. Not because I didn't know what I would create, I was just so tired I was dragging the chain with putting it all together. However while gardening yesterday I suddenly remembered that the current Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge was called 'Animal Magic', so that put a spark under my backside to get it sorted:

Aren't these dog images so adorable??!!!! I've never coloured a St Bernard before so spent ages on Google looking at photos to get the colours in the right spots. I asked Phoebe if it looked like one from far away and she grabbed it off me and said it looked like one even close up, so that gave me a boost!!

I started off by stamping the two dogs (from Winnie and Walter 'Dog Gone Cute with Evelin T Designs') on some white CS and colouring them with my pencils. I then fussy cut them out and added foam tape to the back.  To give them somewhere to sit I used a brown pencil to sketch a line on the card front and then did some softer lines underneath. I then sat the dogs on top.

For a pretty embellishment I stamped the butterflies (from the same stamp set) on the card front and coloured with pencils. I then added the sentiment and some co-ordinating sequins from Neat and Tangled.

I'm making Cannelloni for dinner tonight with cottage cheese/cream cheese and spinach filling for dinner. Its such as messy business getting the filling inside each tube but so worth it when your savouring each mouthful. Yum!!

Take care
Shona

  3. You nailed the St. Bernard and the Lab puppy...don't they look sweet together. The fur of the big gut looks like I could reach out and pet him/her. Just awesome coloring. Know you're working hard so you deserve tha cannelloni...even if it's messy to make. Sound yummy to me.
