Yep, I went there!! Totally crossed the line and Ellen Hutson will probably never speak to me again or let me buy any of her products but the Gardening Lady was the perfect 'witch' for this card. Especially since she came with her own sharp cutting tool!!!
It still makes me laugh every time I look at it and it made my Mum look twice and go 'oh no', then giggle, so I'm hoping you will do the same!!
So, to create this horrific scene I started off by stamping the Gardening Lady on to some white CS. I used a black fine pen to make her hat pointy like a witch and then coloured her with pencils. I then fussy cut her out and used a red pencil to add the smeared blood to her face.
I used my favourite Inkadinkadoo 'Bloody Scene' stamps again with Altenew Velvet ink to colour the card front and then popped the witch on to some foam tape. I tried cutting the boys leg a bit to make it look like she was holding on to it and removed her thumb to make it look more like a grip. I used double-sided tape to hold the leg in place and used the red marker again for blood. The sentiment is from Hampton Art and popped on foam tape as well.
When it was finished I realised that apart from her nibbling on the leg (witches eat children right??!), she needed some way to have removed it. So I stamped the secateurs that come with the Ellen Hutson 'Gardening Lady' set and die-cut with the matching die. I glued it in place and used the red marker again to add blood to it and her other hand, as if she had dropped it.
I can't wait to hear what you think of this one!!!!!
For once I don't actually have any challenges to link this card too, let me know if I've missed any but will go and put this on Instagram now and freak out everyone there and on Facebook. I really hope I don't offend anyone with these cards, they are just supposed to be funny so my fingers are crossed your laughing with me!!
Take care and I'll be back again soon with yet another Halloween card.....eeekk!!

Seriously, you are sick, sick, sick and funny. Such horrifying, grisley details including the secateurs (they made laugh out loud). You're a ghoulish girl.
ReplyDeleteThis is creativity at its best! Love to see crafters transform images into other creations. Stretching supplies!!
ReplyDeleteWell done!!
