Happy Little Stampers - Watercolour Challenge - February

Hi there everyone, hope your all having a fantastic day!! I can't believe we are already on to our second month of the year (I'm still getting over Christmas!!) but it also means we have a new theme for the Happy Little Stampers - Watercolour Challenge!!

We are still running with an 'Anything Goes' theme but we have the optional twist this month of using dies. I love die-cutting so I'm always happy to get out my Cuttlebug!! You also have the chance to win a prize, which makes it even better!

We even have a Guest Designer for this challenge, Ingrid from The Creative Grove. She creates beautiful CAS designs, so its wonderful to have her with us this month!!

I was in the mood for some fussy cutting when it came to making my card and I need to keep adding to my Christmas card collection, so this idea was born:

I stamped the present image on to some water colour CS with black Versamark Ink and then immediately embossed with clear embossing powder. Using my Zig Real Color Brush Markers and a water brush, I coloured only the ribbons of each present. When they were dry I fussy cut them out and added foam tape to the back.

The frame was die-cut from some black CS, adhered to the card front and then covered lots of glitter with my Spectrum Noir Glitter pen. Each of the presents were put on the card front. For the sentiment I stamped and heat embossed it in white and then fussy cut. This was popped on to a double layer of foam tape so it sat above the presents. I then just had to add some colourful sequins and it was finished!!

The stamp images are from Studio Katia 'Origami - Winter'. The frame die and sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh.

I'm going to link this to the Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge where their theme is 'Anything Goes'.

You have the whole month of February to link your projects to the Happy Little Stampers - Watercolour Challenge and if you need any inspiration, pop over to the blog to see what the rest of the Design Team and our Guest Designer Ingrid have created for you. Look forward to seeing you in the Gallery!!

Take care
Shona
