Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge # 210

Happy Wednesday everyone and welcome to another week at Addicted to Stamps and More!! This week we have the coolest inspiration photo for you:

Aren't the colours just amazing!!!! I can't wait to see what people create when they see this one!

Our Sponsor for this challenge is QKR Stampede and they are giving 3 digital images to the winner!!

To be honest, when I first saw this photo my eyes were drawn straight to the light blue bed cover and white bed, as light blue and white are my favourite colours. However, I thought it was about time I broke out of my 'controlled self' for a moment and try to create something inspired by the wall colours:

I have to admit, this was actually a lot of fun to make, so I might have to play with this idea again!!

I grabbed a piece of water colour CS and went to town 'smooshing' all over it. By 'smooshing' I mean putting some Distress Ink on a clear stamp block, adding some water with a brush and then pushing it down on the CS. Once I was happy with how it looked I dried it with my heat gun and used a square-stitch detailed die on the area I liked best.

To bring out more of that light blue colour, I cut a paint chip so it was slightly larger than my square piece and adhered it to the card front. The square panel was popped up on foam tape. I die-cut the 'awesome' from the same paint chip once and then twice from white CS and glued them all together. This was adhered over the 'smooshed' panel along with the rest of the sentiment (on a strip of white CS) and some sequins. It screams 'teenager' to me so will keep it to give to one of the kids when they are older!!

The square-stitched detail die is from Waffle Flower 'Doily Square Die', as well as the 'Awesome' die and the sentiment stamp (from the 'Congrats' stamp set). The sequins are from Neat and Tangled.

I'm going to link this to the CAS on Sunday challenge where their theme is 'Use Pastel Colours'.

I'm also going to link to the Virginia's View Challenge # 23 where their theme is:

You have one week to link your projects to the Addicted to Stamps and More challenge and if your looking for any ideas, pop over to the blog to see what the rest of the Design Team have created for you. Can't wait to see how you were inspired in the Gallery!!

Take care
