Time Out Challenge # 61 - Reminder

Hi everybody, just popping in with a quick post to remind you about our current challenge at TIME OUT! We have some words to inspire you this time:

"Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine" by Anthony J. D'Angelo

I think this is the most beautiful quote and definitely true. There are already some stunning cards in the Gallery inspired by these words, can't wait to see what you come up with!!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the fabulous Sue of Foleys Friend, who I'm sure you must have come across as you wander around 'blogland'. Her CAS designs are incredible and she has such an eye for colour, so I definitely encourage you to visit her blog!

This challenge was a chance for me to break out a new stamp set which I had purchased in Auckland (very rare to find Mama Elephant stamps for sale in New Zealand):

This stamp set is so sweet and I decided some gentle, messy water colouring would go with the challenge theme.

This is all painted on normal CS as I wasn't going to paint it, apart from the puddle under the feet but changed my mind and was very care about the amount of water I used. I used my Kuretake Gansai Tambi paints and a water brush. The stamp set is 'Chance of Rain'.

I'm going to link this to the CASology Challenge # 206 where their theme is 'Art'. I always feel like an 'artist' when I'm water colouring, just wish I could paint like one.......

Will also link to the Stamplorations July CASE Challenge where I didn't use the optional twist.

You have one more week to link your projects to the TIME OUT challenge and the rest of the Design Team have some inspiration projects on the blog to help you with any ideas. Look forward to seeing you in the Gallery!!

Take care
Shona

  5. Wish I could draw, too. But if you can produce cards like this, you are an artist & don't you forget it.
