Hi there and welcome back to Day 4 of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps July New Release Sneak Peek!!
We have a stamp set and matching dies for you today. First up is Sleighride:
This is such a classic set and I love the traditional images mixed in with the modern sentiment fonts. For my card I created a new type of Christmas tree:
This was super simple to put together and could be created with all sorts of colour combinations. I stamped the bell image 10x on white CS, coloured with pencils and used the matching die (which I will show you in a moment). I then added double-sided tape to the back of each one and layered them into a tree shape. I added some Glossy Accents to the top bow and also to the bows sticking out on each side. The sentiment was then stamped in black. Super CAS and clean, just the way I like it!!
Next up we have the Sleigh Fri Dies:
These are so cool and fit the stamp set perfectly. And I love how you can cut out the middle part of the sleigh, which is screaming to become a shaker card:
I've never made a shaker card with just glitter before but found a container of gold glitter in the drawer and thought it would be fun to see if I could contain it in the card!!
I cut a panel of white CS the same size at the card front and die-cut the sleigh from it. I then die-cut the middle part of the sleigh. I put the die-cut back in place and held it in place with double sided tape from behind, removed the backing tape and put a piece of acetate over it. Next I added lots of pieces of foam tape to the back, making sure I created a 'gap free' frame around the shaker part. The glitter was poured in, I removed all the backing tape from the foam and pushed the card front down on to it, trapping in the glitter.
I wanted to keep it a clean design so simply heat embossed the sentiment in gold on a piece of white CS and popped it up on foam tape, along with some gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
Its been a very exciting few days showing you all these new products but we still have four more to go!! When you shop you can use my special code to save yourself 15%, which could mean you have a little left over to buy some more!!
