Just Add Ink Challenge # 307

Its Friday yet again, which means its not only time for the weekend but its time for a new challenge at Just Add Ink.  For this weeks challenge we have a colour combo for you:

I've been using my die-cuts quite a bit lately (I seem to go thru stages of just die-cutting and then lots of stamping) and couldn't help playing with them for this card:

I had this idea while I was in the shower and must have looked so funny talking away to myself while washing my hair, trying to work out how to make it work!

To create this, I first worked out the size of each colour panel. I then had to overlap the yellow and light gray pieces with the border die going across that bit. That way it would cut into both pieces of CS and they would fit together perfectly. I then did the same with the light and dark gray pieces. These were then adhered to the card front. I die-cut the 'hello' twice from white CS and once from the same yellow CS. I glued them together with the yellow piece slightly off-set to show underneath. This was glued to the card along with some clear and yellow sequins.

The grey CS's are both from American Crafts. The yellow CS is from DCWV 'Brights and Pastels'. The clear and yellow sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh. The 'hello' die is from Simon Says Stamp.

I have four challenges I would like to enter:

AAA Card Challenge # 62

One-layer Simplicity Challenge #26 (As you wish)

Little Tangles Challenge # 67

Stamplorations CAS Card Challenge - April

You have until next Wednesday to link your projects to the Just Add Ink challenge. The rest of the Design Team have some gorgeous projects on the blog to help you with any ideas.  I look forward to seeing what you come up with!!

Take care

  1. You must have an engineers brain to be able to work out the cutting of these cardstocks. Hope you didn't drip on them when you got out of the shower. This is my all time favorite color combo so the card appeals to me greatly. Speaking of great...you did a great job with it.
