Pretty Pink Posh - Valentines Challenge

The always fabulous Paulina from Pretty Pink Posh is running the most amazing Valentines Challenge.  I've been following Paulina's success since the beginning and I'm a huge fan of her products (just wish I could afford to buy them all!!!). So there was no way I would miss out on entering this one!

You need to pick one of these cards as inspiration and create a new project with your ideas. I picked this fantastic shaker card by Liz:

This just couldn't be any cuter and I love those little critters surrounded by all the sequins. Here is my card:

I liked Liz's design with a few changes here and there. I started off by creating the shaker element. I die-cut the tag die twice from white CS and die-cutting the windows in one tag. I glued some acetate behind the windows, cut out lots of tiny pieces of foam tape to add to the back. Once the sequins were in place I added the back tag.

The critters were all stamped on white CS, coloured with pencils and fussy cut before being adhered to the three windows. I used the bow die on some glitter CS and adhered to the top of the tag. I also stamped the sentiment on a small banner and glued to the shaker front.

The frame was cut twice from glitter CS and glued together. After adhering the patterned paper to the card front, I added the glitter frame and the shaker. My daughter loves this so I imagine I will be writing in it to her for Valentines Day!!

The frame, tag, windows and bow dies are all from Pretty Pink Posh. The patterned paper is from Crate Paper 'Hello Love' and the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp 'Labelled with Love'. The critters are from Pretty Pink Posh 'Winter Friends', as well as the clear and pink sequins.

I have three other challenges I would like to enter:

Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge (Have a Heart)

Uniko Challenge # 28

Simply Create Too Challenge # 102 (Love or Valentines)

Its nearly midnight and I have a huge gardening job tomorrow, so better head off to bed. Hopefully it won't be as hot as today or I will be melting by lunchtime. Thank goodness there is the school pool to look forward too at the end of the day!!

Take care
Shona
