Muse Challenge # 127

Jumping in again with another quick post before running off to bed. Max has been home sick today (and the last two days) with his usual winter cold that turns into croup and a horrible whooping-like cough. So not much sleep has been had by the two of us. And Dave has been home today with a cold as well, so fingers crossed this isn't the next sickness to run thru us all!!

I've seen so many entries for the Muse Challenge this week and I can see why, Joan's card is sensational!! I actually got a bit stuck with my design as I don't use twine at all on my cards and couldn't work out where to put it, so added an extra heart instead:

I actually had this all stamped out as a one-layer card but there was something missing. I finally realised it needed a bit more definition so stamped the flowers out again and die-cut them, and glued them on top. Just what it needed!!

The green flowers are from Waffle Flower 'Leafy' and the sentiment is also from Waffle Flower 'Lotus'. The small hearts are from Lawn Fawn and the bigger one from Paper Smooches 'Bold Buzzwords'.

I'm also going to add this to the Little Tangles Challenge # 59 where their theme is:

And will also join the Seize the Birthday Challenge where I've gone with the 'Anything Goes' theme:

Right, I'm off to bed before the 'croup' coughing starts. I feel so bad for him when its happening, must be so scary not to be able to breathe properly. At least he is older now and I can explain that he needs to be calm and not be scared (even though I'm freaking out on the inside). Oh the many 'masks' a Mother wears......

Take care
Shona

  1. Spring is just round the corner and hopefully it will see of the winter ailments. And your card is just a refreshing burst of spring goodness. Lovely! Croup is an awful thing for mothers to hear all right, so hope Max is over it soon.

Writing articles is a great way to promote your business, weather it's an online or a traditional 'brick and mortar' business. Articles can be personal, thought provoking, informative, even funny; theirs no end to the different types of articles you could write. The sheer number of possibilities is both a blessing and a curse when it comes to deciding what to write. Where can you find good ideas that will be of interest to your readers?

The papaya fruit, also known as pawpaw, is native to the Americas, possibly originating in Mexico. The delicious fruit has become a favorite amongst many for its delicious flesh. It is widely consumed across the globe but, unfortunately, not a lot of people are aware of the health benefits that it offers.
