Another week has whizzed by, which means its time for yet another new challenge at Addicted to Stamps. The theme for this weeks challenge is the very popular:
MAKE YOUR MARK
This means you can get out those paintbrushes, Copics, pencils and any other products that help you to colour or make your own design on your project.
Our Sponsor for this weeks challenge is Sweet Pea Stamps, who are offering a prize of 4 digital images to the winner. Talk about lucky!!
I have to confess something to you. I had lots of water colouring ideas and sat down to try them all out to find that NOT ONE OF THEM WORKED!!! So frustrating but its okay, at least I know what not to do next time. So I'm afraid my card isn't as spectacular as I hoped it would be but hopefully it will inspire someone with ideas.
I started by brushing Distress Inks 'Peacock Feathers ' and 'Chipped Sapphire' on to some water colour paper. I die-cut the 'hello' from the painted area and also twice from white CS. These were all glued together with the top layer slightly askew to show the white underneath. This helps the word to stand out.
After cutting a strip of light blue glitter cardstock, I adhered it to the card front and then popped up the 'hello' on lots of foam tape. I stamped the sentiment in navy and popped on a few sequins. Just love these colours!
The glitter CS is from DCWV 'Glitzy Pastels'. The 'hello' dies is from Winnie and Walter, as well as the 'gorgeous' stamp which is from 'The Big, the Bold and You'. The sequins are from Avery Elle.
I'm going to link this to the Winnie and Walter - Join in to Win Challenge where you can enter all your cards using their products.
Will also link to the Little Tangles Challenge # 58 where their theme is:
You have one week to enter your projects to the Addicted to Stamps Challenge, so I hope you have time to join in. And the rest of the Design Team have some amazing projects on the blog if your needing some ideas. Hope to see you in the Gallery!!
Take care
Shona
