Mod Squad Challenge

I purchased a set of floral stamps a few months ago and there they have sat in my stamp box, awaiting their chance to shine. I don't know why but floral stamps scare me a little and I never know where to start. Two weeks ago I created a floral card where I white embossed the flowers and coloured them with distress inks. I loved the card but wanted to try something a bit more simple.

Along comes the Mod Squad Challenge where their theme is to 'Make a background'. It was time to get stamping.....

I wasn't sure if using just black for flowers would look okay but love the simple effect. I basically just stamped all the flowers with black Versafine ink, die-cut a waffle-sided square and heat embossed the sentiment in gold. This was then popped up on foam tape. I'm so going to try this out again!!!

The stamps are from Inkadinkado 'Doodle Flowers' and the sentiment from Winnie and Walter 'The Big, the Bold and the Happy'.

I'm going to enter this into the Virginia's View Challenge # 13 where their theme is:

Will also link to the Take it, Make It Challenge - March where their theme is 'Anything Goes - as long as you use a stamp'. This is my second entry.

And I'm also going to enter the Little Tangles Challenge # 54 where their theme is:

Its not even 10pm and I'm off to bed. Been gardening all day again today and just exhausted. Its so frustrating because as I garden I think about different card designs and have so many I want to try out. My mind is willing but the body is not. Hopefully it will rain tomorrow so I can have a day off......

Take care
Shona
