Time Out Challenge - Design Team Member

Talk about finding it hard to keep a secret, I've been dying to tell someone (apart from my family) about this for weeks. I'm now part of the Design Team for Time Out Challenges!!!!

Crazy I know and I'm so very, very excited. Thank you so much Sandie for the invitation to join such incredible designers. Everyone has been so welcoming and helpful.

And there is also more good news....there are three other new designers to join too! I don't want to spoil their surprise, if you pop over to the Time Out blog there is a lovely post from Sandie introducing them all.

I've always really enjoyed playing in this challenge and can't wait to visit new blogs, be inspired and leave some comments. This is my first ever Design Team role, which makes it even more special to me and I just know its going to be the best fun ever!!

My first challenge as part of the DT is next week (11th September - Challenge #14), so better get myself organised and really hope you play along too, would love to see you there!!

Challenge #13 at Time Out Challenges is running at the moment, so thought I would join in as a 'player' one last time. The theme for this one is:

'If music be the food of love, play on'

Its a quote from Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' and you can let the words inspire you anyway you like. For some reason I immediately thought of this pattern paper that had music printed on it. It took a bit of finding (as I had no idea who made it) but finally got my hands on it.

Is it weird that I've put the same paper on top of itself?? Not something I've seen done before and probably is a bit silly but I really loved the monochromatic look, especially with the bubble die-cut on a slight angle.

I die-cut the word 'love' three times from gold cardstock and stuck together, to give some height. This was glued to the speech bubble, which was then popped up on foam squares. I then glued on my favourite gold metal hearts for even more gold shine.

The paper is from Echo Park 'Everyday Eclectic', the metal die speech bubble from Die-namics MFT and the 'love' metal die from Paper Smooches.

Because I've used some patterned paper (which I seem to be doing a lot of lately....strange I know...where are the stamps??) I will enter this into the challenge at Virginia's View #7 where their theme is:

This is my second entry and I can imagine there will be a few more to come over the next few weeks......

Its Friday, my secret is out and I've already got ideas for my next two cards. Life is so good!!!

Take care
Shona
